We’re a Montreal boutique specializing in premium wellness-inspired sweets. Every powder, gummy, softgel, and extract is crafted with transparent ingredients and a whole lot of flavor.

Where Our Ingredients Come From

We source mushroom extracts from certified growers who specialize in fruiting body cultivation, not mycelium on grain. That means higher concentrations of the compounds that make cordyceps, and reishi worth including in the first place. Every botanical we use is chosen for potency, purity, and traceability.

Our cacao comes from single-origin suppliers in Ecuador and Peru, selected for flavor complexity and ethical growing practices. Vanilla, elderberry, and citrus ingredients are sourced from small-scale farms that prioritize quality over volume. We taste everything before it goes into a formula, and we reject anything that doesn’t meet our standards.

Transparency isn’t just a buzzword here. We maintain direct relationships with ingredient suppliers and request third-party testing on every batch of mushroom extract we receive. It costs more and takes longer, but it’s the only way we can stand behind what’s in every jar, gummy, softgel, and dropper bottle.

The Beginning

How We Started in Montreal

tryMicrogenix began in 2021 on Sherbrooke East, where the idea was simple: functional ingredients shouldn’t taste like punishment. We noticed a gap between luxury confections and wellness pantry staples, so we set out to fill it with products that tasted as good as they looked.

Montreal’s food culture taught us that ingredients matter and presentation counts. We wanted to create a space where lion’s mane, reishi, and cordyceps felt as approachable as artisan chocolate or specialty coffee. That meant rethinking everything from formulation to labeling.

Our first product was a cacao-vanilla superfood powder that sold out in three days. From there, we expanded into gummies, softgels, and flavor extracts, always keeping the same principle: big flavor, small bites. If you’re here, you’re curious, and we built this store for people like you.

How We Make Each Product

Our superfood powders are blended in small batches using a low-heat process that preserves flavor and ingredient integrity. We measure by weight, not volume, so every scoop delivers the same ratio of mushroom extract, cacao, vanilla, and superfood ingredients. The mixing happens in a temperature-controlled room to prevent clumping or degradation.

Gummies are handcrafted using fruit purees and natural sweeteners, then infused with mushroom extracts and botanical ingredients at precise temperatures. Each batch is poured into molds, allowed to set for 24 hours, and dusted with organic tapioca starch before packaging. It’s slower than industrial production, but the texture and flavor are worth the extra time.

Softgels are filled using a semi-automated encapsulation system that ensures consistent dosing in every capsule. Extracts are bottled by hand in amber glass with calibrated droppers, then labeled and inspected before they leave our workspace. Everything is assembled in-house at our Sherbrooke location, so we control every step from formulation to fulfillment.
